“The rate of nine track passages will be expanded from the current 110 and 130 km every hour to 160 and 200 kmph separately so that between metro trips like Delhi-Kolkata and Delhi-Mumbai can be finished overnight,” Prabhu declared while displaying his lady Railway Budget in Lok Sabha.

The expanded rate will include upgradation of track including turnarounds, enhance moving stock to higher principles and embracing enhanced systems for track recording, checking and upkeep.

Endeavors would keep on pursueing “with force” the extraordinary ventures like rapid rail (Bullet Train) in the middle of Mumbai and Ahmedabad, Prabhu said.
